What Is The Content Of Your Character?
The cornerstone of youth is developing their ‘Character’ it is essential: values, morals, respect, responsibility, integrity, empathy, citizenship etc. Living out of your values and morals determines the decisions that will be made in your life time. It’s not just about you. It’s about every person life you touch and those that you are not even aware of. Your character precedes you. You are truly your brother’s keeper!!
Objectives
1. Students will be able to learn and discuss the "Pillars of Character"
2. Students will be able to discuss, analyze and establish their own morals and values
3. Students will be able to discuss the act of respect: all people, life and mother earth
4. Students will be able to utilize the tools of good character in making cognitive decisions
5. Students will be able to role-play scenarios which will test their character
6. Students will study the effect of the role of the media relative to respect/character/morals
7. Students will be able to discuss, analyze and establish the issues surrounding bullying and violence
8. Students will be able to discuss the philosophies of love and humanities
